RA0530 Adapter with wire mesh for Flush mounting of 1/4" microphones

Introduction

The GRAS RA0530 is a flush-mount adapter designed for 1/4" cylinder-type microphone sets, such as the GRAS 46BD and 46BE, or other microphones with matching capsule and preamplifier diameters and a 6.35-60 UNS-2 protection grid thread.

This adapter features a flush-mounted wire mesh, providing additional protection against particles while minimizing its impact on the sound field and airflow. The interior is coated with a non-conductive layer, ensuring electrical insulation between the microphone and the mounting surface to prevent ground loops.

An integrated O-ring allows front- or side-vented microphones to vent through the front of the adapter.

To install a 1/4" microphone set, simply remove the protection grid and screw the microphone into the RA0530’s inner thread.

If the microphone capsule becomes stuck inside the adapter without its preamplifier, the RA0533 Removal Tool is available for easy extraction.
