Warranty and Warranty for Repair Service

Warranty

As a general rule, however, we only provide warranty against defective materials and workmanship caused in connection with manufacturing the product. Therefore, products not covered by the warranty are products for which the damage is the result of negligent use, incorrect power supply or incorrect connection to the equipment.

The 5-year warranty applies to special microphones and microphone sets like flush-mount microphone sets, probe microphones and sound intensity probes.  

Likewise, outdoor and environmental microphones, ground array kits and hemisphere kits as well as preamplifiers are covered by a 5-year warranty. For the outdoor microphones 41AM and 41CN, the 5-year warranty is, however, conditioned upon one yearly service. Otherwise, the warranty is 2 years. The 5-year warranty also applies to couplers, ear simulators as well as accessories.

All low-noise microphones are delivered with a 3-year warranty.

Array and QC microphones are covered by a 2-year warranty. This is also valid for KEMAR, acoustic test fixtures, calibration equipment as well as power modules. 

Cables and windscreens are covered by a 6-month warranty. For cables integrated in products such as preamplifiers, microphone sets, intensity probes and ear simulators, the 6-month warranty is also valid.

Warranty for Repair Service

In the warranty period, GRAS offers warranty repair. A warranty repair will consist of the same parameters as mentioned under the paragraph Repair Service.

The GRAS warranty for repair is six months. This only covers the part being repaired. The general warranty period is not extended accordingly.
