RA0531 Adapter with open diaphragm for flush mounting of 1/4" microphones

Introduction

The GRAS RA0531 is a flush-mount adapter designed for 1/4" cylinder-type microphone sets, such as the GRAS 46BD and 46BE, or other microphones with matching capsule and preamplifier diameters and a 6.35-60 UNS-2 protection grid thread.

This adapter features an open design that leaves the microphone's diaphragm flush-mounted to a surface. The interior is coated with a non-conductive layer, ensuring electrical insulation between the microphone and the mounting surface to prevent ground loops.

An integrated O-ring allows front- or side-vented microphones to vent through the front of the adapter.

To install a 1/4" microphone set, simply remove the protection grid and screw the microphone into the RA0531’s inner thread.

If the microphone capsule becomes stuck inside the adapter without its preamplifier, the RA0533 Removal Tool is available for easy extraction.
