GRAS Wins the 2026 Innovation Award from Rudersdal Kommune
We are proud to announce that GRAS Sound & Vibration has received the 2026 Innovation Award from Rudersdal Kommune — a recognition that means a great deal to us, both professionally and personally.
The award was presented by Ann Sofie Orth, Mayor of Rudersdal Kommune together with Brian Mikkelsen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Danish Chamber of Commerce, at a ceremony celebrating companies that contribute to innovation, growth, and strong local communities.
A Recognition of Precision, Innovation, and Heritage
The Innovation Award honors companies that demonstrate continuous innovation and create impact beyond their local footprint.
For GRAS, this recognition reflects decades of dedication to:
• Advancing precision acoustic measurement technology
• Supporting research, aerospace, defense, automotive, and consumer industries worldwide
• Combining Danish craftsmanship with global engineering excellence
• Continuously pushing the boundaries of what can be measured — and improved
Innovation with Local Roots and Global Impact
While our microphones are used globally in advanced research labs, aerospace programs, automotive development, and high-performance test environments, our foundation remains proudly local.
Being recognized by our home municipality makes this award especially meaningful. Rudersdal is not just where we operate — it is where our story began, inspired by founder Gunnar Rasmussen’s passion for precision mechanics and acoustic excellence.
A Team Effort
This award belongs to our entire team — engineers, technicians, product specialists, sales teams, partners, and customers — who continuously challenge standards and redefine what precision means in acoustic measurement.
Innovation is never a single breakthrough. It is a culture.
And at GRAS, innovation is part of our DNA.
Thank You
We extend our sincere thanks to Rudersdal Kommune, and Rudersdal Business Association
We are deeply proud — and more motivated than ever — to continue shaping the future of sound measurement.
As the world grows louder, we push the boundaries of the science of sound — measuring, testing, and protecting what matters.
